All of our apprentices complete a 5-year education program administered by the National Elevator Education Program (NEIEP). Students complete 600 hours of classroom training and over 8000 hours of OJT on the path to journeyman status. Training doesn’t stop there, with over 40 continuing education classes available, learning can last a lifetime. Always staying on top of the ever-changing world of vertical and horizontal transportation.
Local 4 takes pride in knowing that its members are the most highly trained and skilled elevator constructors in the business.
The State of Massachusetts is no longer taking payments for Apprentice ID’s online by students. Do not submit payment online with the link previously emailed during the covid-19 shutdown.
Jessica now needs to process each payment through the State for each student.
We will revert back pre-covid protocol and need each student to bring a money order or check to the union hall before your ID expires.
Please check your apprentice ID’s now for the date of expiration.
Checks or money orders should be made out to LOCAL 4 for $35.82.
The State is now charging a processing fee of 82 cents which we cannot waive.
Do not make payable to Commonwealth of MASS
If you have any questions, please reach out to Jessica at the union hall.
